Caron is a speech-language pathologist in the Pediatric Swallowing and Voice Clinic here at Vegas Voice Institute. She also covers as needed in the Adult Voice and Swallowing Clinic. She brings with her over 25 years of experience working in multiple settings from the school system, in skilled nursing facilities, and the hospital setting as a speech-language pathologist.

Caron earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Speech- Language Pathology from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota in 1992. During her graduate studies at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, she completed an externship at Duluth public schools, and another at Polinsky Rehab Center. Caron earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1994. She achieved her certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology CCC-SLP in 1995.

Caron has a breadth of experience in the speech therapy field, spanning from a long- term acute rehab facility to home health services. Additionally, she has 14 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility. Locally, Caron has served patients as an outpatient and inpatient speech-language pathologist at Mountain View Hospital for years where she provided aphasia and cognitive/speech treatments, swallow evaluations, and Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS). Furthermore, Caron has worked at Clark County School District (CCSD) as a speech-language pathologist treating preschool and school aged children since 1999. She also has experience in treating adult patients with speech and swallowing problems, speech sound disorders, and speech and cognitive deficits.

Caron originally hails from Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada. We are fortunate that she has brought her wealth of knowledge to Vegas Voice Institute as one of our skilled speech-language pathologists.

In her free time, Caron enjoys camping, reading, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family. She is married, has two sons and two Boston Terriers, and loves a good cup of coffee.
