At Vegas Voice Institute we use the advanced system of stroboscopy which digitally records the vocal folds while voicing and breathing. Stroboscopy has become the system of choice at leading voice centers and research hospitals worldwide since its introduction in the late 1990s. Vegas Voice Institute was the first facility in Las Vegas to introduce this technology to our medical community, patients, and physicians. We will perform a stroboscopy in addition to a voice evaluation and voice analysis in our Voice Lab to provide the most detailed assessment of the vocal folds and their function.

“THIS IS HOW VOICE THERAPY HELPED ME”

After abruptly losing his voice one day, Dave Wilson’s life dramatically changed. In an attempt to regain his voice, he met with many doctors. And, those visits led to a diagnosis of spasmodic dysphonia, a neurological voice disorder.

“I was on a quest to find my voice,” Dave said. Armed with the newly discovered information, Dave continued to meet with specialists for Botox and collagen injections, voice therapy sessions and even surgery. “Nothing worked for me,” he said. “I whispered for five years.” Then, Dave’s primary doctor referred him to Speech-Language Pathologist Linda Ganz.

Together, they embarked on five-month journey of intensive speech therapy, and Dave’s voice returned to 90% functioning capacity. “Even now 11 years later, my voice is still near normal, especially when I consistently do the therapy exercises Linda prescribed,” Dave said. “I would definitely encourage anyone with voice problems to give Linda a chance to help them. She cares, and she doesn’t give up.”
